Specs: AMD Athlon 6000+ X2 at 3.00 Ghz dual core 4GB 667Mhz DDR2 RAM Gigabyte GA-M750SLI-DS4 nforce 750a SLI motherboard Gigabyte 8800 GTS geforce 640 MB video card 20x SATA LG DVD Writer 80 GB Seagate SATA hard drive 460 watt power supply 22″ Acer LCD monitor at 1680×1050 Windows XP Professional x64 SP2 Coolermaster Case 330 Elite I do not own this machine anymore, I sold most of the parts. i love the amd athlon 6000 x2, i used this cpu for very long and it did a great job at playing games for as long as i have owned it, but i upgraded to a AMD Athlon II X4 620 Quad recently , both are good cpu’s for a cheap price

I think you should get a better processor, like an Athlon X2 250 because the first generation Athlons are old and starting to show their age, and the 4850 will bottleneck the X2 5000.

I just bought this processor from newegg for 60$ OEM. It’s not the newest processor but a deffinent upgrade. I wouldn’t have used the fan anyways so i thought it was a pretty good deal.

u sure about that… ive been researching whether my mobo (M2N68-LA (Narra2)) is capable of am3 support. even though its an asus mobo.
I dont wna risk screwing myself over. Furthermore im also wondering buying an aegis physx card, why u ask?? cuz i love batman!!! lol
