The CPU-Z version I used was outdated and would always read AM3 boards as AM2+ so that doesn’t really matter.

And what does “Package” and “Socket AM2+ (940)” mean at 0:37? I thought that this is the used socket.

No, I used an AM3 board along with DDR3 RAM, watch it again.

I do hope that vista and win7 use more than xp. If it wasn’t like that it would be like going backwards in development. And I know from experience. xp is much faster. vista and win7 use hardware in useless stuff like aero -.-

OMFG!! you dont know shit about OS, do you? XP does NOT use all the potential of todays hardware, because, xp was designd in 2000~2001, when pentium 4 was the top of the line… u should read a bit more before commenting

LOL I CAN ONLY LAUGH!!!!! how stupid are you really? If you really want to use all your power you need to use xp. Vista and win7 uses your power and you wont be able to get the best performance. Lol be quiet if you dont know anything.

“Black Edition” means it has an unlocked multiplier for further overclocking.

dude whats the wattage on this processor? I have the AMD 945 running sweet on an old Crosshair 1 mobo but could really do with increasing from 3ghz to 3.2. it is risky territory

Pretty much all Gigabyte motherboards come with a program called EasyTune for overclocking in Windows, including this one.
February 10th, 2010 at 10:56 am
does this mobo comes with easy utility overclocking and does it comes with one of them q-connectors?

When I had this setup from what I remember the temperatures was idling at the mid 30′s and load on the Noctua was around somewhere in the mid 40′s, I didn’t really get too much time to test it out.
